To meet our high standards every day, we are looking forward to your scientific expertise in the Busch Group. The DFG Emmy Noether funded research group focusses on the mechanisms of Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal (HGP) axis regulation that governs human reproduction. We investigate early activity periods of the HPG axis, i.e. minipuberty and puberty. Combining clinical, large-scale genetic and single-nucleus approaches, the aim is to gain insight into reproductive disorders and fertility potential. Results will feed back into a discovery pipeline – ideally with you on board!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Involves single nucleus RNA-sequencing of Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal (HGP) axis tissue incl. spatial transcriptomics
2. Functional follow-up of indentified targets
REQUIREMENTS:
3. PhD in natural sciences, life sciences or similar
4. Experience with single-cell / single-nucleus RNA-seq techniques / Spatial transcriptomics
5. Oral and written communication skills - English (required) and German (desired)
6. Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team
7. Strong communication and collaborative skills
8. Willingness to learn computational biology/bioinformatics
