The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an EMEA Architectural Market Business Development Manager for the Commercial Branding & Transportation Division, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
* Better understanding Architectural Finishes (Di-Noc, Fasara, BWF) key market segments and the best way to market (access to market, key players etc.)
* Re-shaping our channel structure to achieve a business revolution by specifying and selling our solutions to buildings faster
* Not clinging to old structures and thinking out of the box
* Identifying untapped sales growth opportunities generated from new market trends, new potential customers, new needs and new potential ways to market
* Defining an end-to-end business strategy (from idea creation to plan definition to sales execution) leveraging a well-diversified and cross-functional team
* Taking inspiration from current successful business models in some geographies and designing a new approach to win in not-enough penetrated geographies
* Building long-lasting relationships with the main market players (i.e.: end users, architects, facility managers, energy saving consultants, installers, dealers, distributors, etc)
* Building sales and marketing tools to facilitate our value proposition delivery
* Increasing the level of market awareness about our solutions via specialized magazines, collaboration with KOLs, industry events, trade association collaborations, etc
* Identifying the main trade-shows and industry events to generate awareness
* Organizing customer events to build a stronger relationship (also in collaboration with dealers and channel partners)
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
* Proven track record of business management including sales leadership
* Strong business acumen
* Project management skills and experience
* Ability to lead through influence and to focus on relationship building
* Experience in interpreting market research or market insights
* In-country sales or marketing experience
* Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver sales targets
* Out-of-the box thinking / Outside-in approach
* English language skills both verbal and written
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
* Past Business Development experience and classical marketing/sales experience
* Knowledge of German language
* Experience in strategic planning, marketing planning or business management
* Understanding of technical applications in the Architectural finishing market
Job Specifics
* Candidate location: Can be located in either Germany or the UK
* Role location: Remote based, flexible within the country
* Travel: May include up to 25% of travelling both domestic and international
