RWE Supply & Trading GmbH To start as soon as possible, full time / part time, permanent About the role The Business Engineering Team forms part of the Risk Department of RWE Supply & Trading. In this role we support and interact with the business in FO, BO and Risk in building and designing processes in the ETRM system Endur and the reporting back end ROCK. Hence, we are driving in this areas the setup for renewable assets, PPA and also traded commodity products in a global environment. Therefore a strong internal interaction with stakeholders in all offices is key. Integrating New Trading Products: Designing, implementing and testing required changes to the ETRM system Endur with focus on the New Business Approval Process, i.e. design market valuation curves, deal modelling and end-to-end deal life cycle process implementation. Responsibility of running and expanding regular checks and processes to ensure Endur data accuracy and validity. Operational maintenance for trade capture, deal volume updates and market data processes on a day to day basis as well as on a strategic enhancement level. Apply and enforce the “Greenfield Design Principles” and take ownership of assigned topics. Supporting Endur related projects that require changing or heavy building of Endur (i.e. upgrades). Assist Front Office, Risk, BO and other stakeholders on request with data stored in Endur. Ensuring the maintenance of End of Day process to improve performance. Support and learn in a cross-locational, highly skilled and motivated team within Business Engineering. Be part of delivering value by supporting FO and Risk commercial activities and enable them to enter new markets and provide integral support in the development and implementation of new products. Engage in the responsibility for implemented products / processes, championing standardisation by ensuring key controls are in place and offering key support, advice and expertise to the various support functions. Within Business Engineering you will be exposed to all areas of the business bridging between. Economical modelling over technical implementation and assuring smooth daily process. Job requirements and experience Obtained Bachelors or Master’s degree in Economics, Physics, Mathematics or similar. Strong understanding of commodity trading: trading lifecycle for physical and/or financial trading instruments on a broad range of commodities and products (Power / PPAs, Green Certificates, EUA, Metal, Weather, IR, FX and Cross Commodities) in global geographies. Good understanding of Value-at-Risk, option valuation theory, Options “Greeks”, and stress testing. Good knowledge in Open Link Endur ETRM System with expertise in SQL, Report Builder, programming skills advantageous. Evidence of strong structured approaches to tackling issues and tasks; strong evidence of good attention to detail in delivery, ability to quality-control own work and daily output. Evidence of managing relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, in order to ensure good working relations and negotiated deliverables. Good written and verbal communication skills, project management experience preferred. Ability to work independently and accomplish tasks against deadlines and confirmed timelines. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them to actionable tasks and initiatives.
