RESPONSIBILITIES
In our Global Ecotoxicology unit, you join a highly dedicated, international and passionate team and work on diverse aspects of Regulatory Ecotoxicology with a focus on terrestrial or aquatic organisms and digital/data related topics.
* As (Senior) Regulatory Scientist, you develop, communicate and implement scientific strategies and defend these in front of internal and external stakeholders.
* Furthermore, you plan, conduct as well as timely deliver all agreed studies, lab activities and/or other regulatory activities according to the compliance, safety and financial requirements.
* Additionally, you are accountable for the coordination of all global, regional as well as national technical/scientific issues in a respective technical center including all relevant necessary project work and interaction.
* You have a strong background in (aquatic) ecology and an affinity to digital topics e.g. handling of (big) data, data governance or you have gained some experience in developing predictive models, creating dashboards (e.g., Power BI, python, KNIME or R) or setting up other digital tools. You scout for drivers, trends and opportunities for digitalization and seek for opportunities to further align it with the FAIR data concepts.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Completed Master's degree in biology (zoology, ecotoxicology, ecology or related field), preferably with PhD.
* Experience in ecology, ecotoxicology or environmental science.
* Expertise in the area of aquatic ecotoxicology or risk assessment is beneficial.
* Professional experience and expertise in project management.
* Knowledge in the field of data processing/evaluation/interpretation and handling of big data.
* Strong entrepreneurial drive and 'can do' attitude shown for digital/data related topics.
* Excellent communication skills in English.
