Peraton is currently seeking a dynamic Network/DevOps Configuration Manager to join our team in Wiesbaden, Germany. Location: Wiesbaden, Germany In this role, as the Network/DevOps Configuration Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimizing the network configuration management ecosystem supporting the U.S. Army Europe Regional Cyber Center (RCC-E). This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and a passion for automation to ensure operational excellence across a diverse and complex network infrastructure. You will perform: Configuration Management & Automation: Lead the design, implementation, and management of automated configuration management processes using tools such as Ansible and GitLab. Develop and maintain scalable solutions for managing multi-vendor network devices across an extensive enterprise network. Ensure all configurations adhere to organizational standards and security compliance requirements. Network Development Operations (NetDevOps): Implement and enhance NetDevOps workflows to streamline deployment and maintenance tasks. Utilize modern DevOps tools like VS Code, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and Docker to improve efficiency and reliability. Work with cross-functional teams to integrate network automation solutions that enhance overall network performance. Collaboration & Training: Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for network automation, mentoring junior team members and collaborating with stakeholders. Conduct regular training and knowledge-sharing sessions to promote best practices within the team. System Compliance & Documentation: Ensure system compliance with STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guide) and other DoD cybersecurity frameworks. Maintain accurate documentation for all configurations, workflows, and processes. Required: A bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience, or an a ssociate degree with 7 years of specialized experience, or a High School diploma with 12 years of specialized experience. Certifications: Active DoD 8140-approved certification for DCWF job code 451 (e.g., CASP, CCNP Security, CCSP). ONE of the following: CCNA, CCNP Security, Juniper Networks Certification, or F5 Certification. Have the following experience: Expertise with automation tools like Ansible and CI/CD platforms such as GitLab. Strong experience in and with Linux. Strong familiarity with managing configurations for multi-vendor environments (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, F5). Proficiency in using VS Code and other modern development tools for network automation. U.S. citizenship is required. Have an Active Secret clearance or higher. Preferred: Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms. Exposure to advanced networking technologies and frameworks. A passion for continuous improvement and staying updated on industry trends.
