Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? Reporting into the Head of Financial Institutions Germany & Austria, the objective of the role is working in unison with the Head of Financial Institutions and the BD Germany & Austria team, to identify & pursue new opportunities in the German & Austrian Financial Institutions (wholesale) segment and coordinate the deployment of the internal infrastructure necessary to bring these opportunities to fruition and subsequently onboarding and servicing clients. The role will have an individual target and additionally will contribute to the German & Austria team target running own opportunities and nurturing existing investors relationships. What will you do? Grow AuM and revenues across the firm’s German & Austrian investor base by covering existing Financial Institutions (wholesale) relationships and pursuing new investors, in line with the broader Business Development strategy and in support of the German & Austrian business plan objectives. In conjunction with the Head of Financial Institutions Germany & Austria, identify and pursue new distribution and sales and coordinate the deployment of the internal infrastructure necessary to bring these opportunities to fruition. Drive the sales/service plan for German & Austrian Financial Institutions (wholesale clients) in line with the broader Global Business Development strategy and in support of the German & Austrian business plan objectives. Strengthen existing investors relationships and contribute to smooth onboarding of new investors. Support the organization of client events, group presentations, product training initiatives, etc. in order to convert business opportunities into flows. Contribute to the German & Austrian business plan Support the execution of agreed strategic priorities to further diversify firm AuM across the German & Austrian base, in line with the broader Global Business Development strategy and in support of the German & Austrian business plan. Training to develop presentation skills in order to build commercial confidence and progress in seniority and responsibility. Working collaboratively with colleagues and promoting a successful sales team / Global Business Development performance. Maintaining and leveraging SalesForce to ensure the effective service of clients and prospects – this includes taking responsibility for the quality of the data input into SalesForce. Supporting colleagues in monitoring and reporting market and regulatory developments relevant for the country / Global BD strategy. Personally reinforcing excellence across RBC BlueBay’s stated Leadership model both inside RBC BlueBay and as a representative of RBC BlueBay in the market. What do you need to succeed? Business Graduate or equivalent Extensive experience within Business Development experience with German & Austrian investors in the Financial Institutions (wholesale) segment Sets high standards of performance for self and strives to meet challenging objectives.
