In this exciting chapter of continued growth and expansion for Chase, we’re looking for a passionate Risk and Controls Director (all genders) who will be a part of the Controls Team, supporting the product and operations teams in the creation of consumer-centric digital products. You will work with the business to effectively manage operational risks. Job responsibilities: Contributing to a proactive risk and control culture within our digitally-driven business that leverages distributed accountability among peers to drive continuous improvement. Effectively partnering with the Product, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure that robust controls are embedded within the design and development of new products, features and processes, and can enable effective monitoring of effectiveness (e.g. Control KPIs). Partnering with technology and testing teams to support frameworks for operational ‘go live readiness’ which will include the assessment of BAU processes, monitoring and reporting on progress, the development of automated dashboards and threshold triggers, and the review of digital testing strategies. Active risk identification, assessment, and sizing utilising both qualitative and quantitative methodologies for lending businesses. Performing risk and control self-assessments across all products and digital journeys. Pperational risk events (including losses, potential losses, or production incidents) and operational risk issues. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 15 years financial services experience within retail banking in the banking operations, financial crime and fraud space. Expert in Operational Risk Management, with a strong understanding of Operational Risk Management Regulatory Frameworks and their application. Strong understanding of German and European retail banking regulatory frameworks. Excellent communication, relationship building and influencing skills; including written and oral communication skills with the ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on audience. Experience working and efficiently delivering in an information technology area / environment is a plus (e.g. IT Auditing, Programming Controls, Data Management and Governance etc). Fluency in English and German. Other European languages are a plus. Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Alsatian Suite (Jira and Confluence) would be beneficial. Experience working in an Agile environment.
