Your Responsibilities:
1. Take ownership of client acquisition, assessment and onboarding and development for corporate shipping clients in Greece and/or Western Europe while being in direct regular contact with the client (including business travelling into the relevant regions)
2. Be responsible for the smooth running of day-to-day business as integrative and substantial part of the overall Berenberg team: account management, international payments incl. cash management, management of deposits as well as financial products, guarantees or conditional payments, all in the industrial environment of operational shipping
3. Coordinate and closely cooperate with Berenberg`s product specialists to develop and enforce the best client strategy and to ensure a tailor-made product offering to the client on a case-by-case basis
4. Actively moderate a dialogue with internal Berenberg stakeholders (KYC team, Compliance team and others) to secure Berenberg`s expertise and reliability of high-level services in the market
5. Take responsibility for a commercially successful development of the overall client relationship
Your Profile:
6. Extensive experience in corporate banking and/or in the shipping industry as a relationship manager or a similar role
7. Structured, intrinsic motivated and goal-oriented approach of (potential) clients guided by high quality standards
8. Excellent service orientation with the ability to take over a prominent and representative role in an international business environment
9. Eager to take on new challenges and demonstrate a passion for the maritime and financial service industries
10. Ambitious, proactive and passionate team player
11. Strongcommunication skills
12. High standard of oral and written English, German and/or Greek beneficial
