We are seeking a dedicated Intellectual Property (IP) Specialist to join our dynamic team and contribute to developing and innovative and industry-leading IP process. What will you do: Coordination and Process Management: Coordinate and manage the IP process inside GF BFS, including invention disclosure and participation in the patent working group. Collaborate with the GF IP Unit to streamline IP operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with corporate goals. Contribute to key decisions with R&D leadership, playing a strategic role in the IP and innovation roadmap. Design and implement dashboards to track IP activities, keeping all stakeholders informed and proactive. Maintain adherence to internal IP guidelines and review policies for continuous improvement. Manage and approve IP processes and policies within the division. Support early-stage innovation process: Administer inventor remuneration recognizing and rewarding contributions to our IP portfolio. Assess prototype projects from an IP perspective, ensuring protection of high-potential innovations. Apply modern tools for IP research and analysis, enhancing our ability to safeguard new technologies. Identify and support areas for IP protection in collaboration with development teams, fortifying our competitive edge. Budget Management: Conduct cost-benefit analyses to prioritize high-value patents, optimizing the budget. Review proposals to ensure alignment with company strategy, balancing innovation and cost efficiency. Manage, audit, and approve budget activities related to IP, keeping projects on track. Support and Administration: Be the link between GFBFS and the corporate GF IP Unit, ensuring clear, consistent communication. Assist with legal matters, including trademarks, regional application choices, and IP research preparation. Track competitors’ IP strategies, identify risks, and manage IP rights prolongation and enforcement. What will you need: Fluent in English and German (C1 - C2) with strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex IP concepts effectively. At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or product development environment, with solid knowledge of development processes and IP applications. Familiarity with IP processes, ideally with expertise in IP applications, especially within a technical, scientific, or engineering context. Capable of critical thinking, assessing existing structures, and proposing innovative improvements. Stakeholder Management: demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams, fostering strong partnerships and driving initiatives with energy and enthusiasm.
