We are looking for a new Head of Marketing - Based in Köln!
Astara Western Europe NV is part of the Spanish Astara Group, an international company specializing in open mobility solutions. We are currently experiencing a period of significant change in the automotive landscape, driven by digitalization, electrification, and new forms of mobility. Astara has been actively developing its own distribution and mobility ecosystem to address today's challenges, such as promoting sustainable and energy-efficient mobility and enhancing digitalization. Our goal is to offer a wide range of mobility products and services, including traditional car ownership, subscription options, and direct-to-consumer sales through new channels. All of this is supported by an advanced digital platform that enables customer interaction at every step of their mobility journey.
In the distribution sector, Astara Western Europe serves as the importer of various car and light truck brands. Our current portfolio includes Hyundai (Belux), Suzuki (Belux), Maxus (Belux/DE), SsangYong (Benelux/DE), MG (Belux), Isuzu (Benelux/PL/DE/CZ/SLO/AUS), Silence (Belux/DE), Microlino (DE), Mitsubishi (PL), Nissan (PL), and Seres (NL). Astara Western Europe is seeking an experienced and innovative Head of Marketing to lead our marketing initiatives and drive brand growth across multiple automotive brands. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and implement marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness, customer engagement, and profitability. Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development
1. Foster a positive, inclusive team culture that promotes collaboration, open communication, and alignment with Astara’s values.
2. Set clear goals and performance expectations for team members, providing regular feedback and support to drive growth and success.
3. Develop a versatile marketing team capable of supporting various brands and ensuring strong backup systems.
Strategic Marketing
1. Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies across digital, print, social media, and influencer channels, tailored to each brand's needs.
2. Lead the digital marketing strategy, focusing on Google SEA, Meta Ads, and KPI-driven optimization.
3. Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all platforms while identifying innovative solutions to enhance competitiveness.
Financial Management
1. Manage the marketing and PR budgets, ensuring optimal ROI and cost control.
2. Analyze financial results and implement corrective actions as necessary to meet objectives.
Marketing and Communication
1. Plan and execute events, trade shows, and PR activities to boost brand visibility and customer engagement.
2. Collaborate with media, journalists, dealers, and other partners to amplify marketing efforts.
3. Oversee the management of the press fleet to support promotional campaigns.
Product and Price Management
1. Develop pricing and margin forecasts in collaboration with brand controllers.
2. Propose pricing strategies aligned with market conditions to maximize profitability.
Internal Relations and Communication
1. Implement efficient communication systems between the marketing team and other departments.
2. Regularly report performance and updates to senior management and OEMs.
Education and Experience
1. A Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Over 10 years of experience in marketing, with added sales experience as an asset.
3. Strong expertise in digital marketing, business planning, and financial aspects.
Key Competencies
1. Proven leadership and team management skills.
2. Analytical mindset with expertise in digital marketing optimization.
3. Exceptional communication and project management skills.
4. Adaptable, self-motivated, and results-driven, with a customer-focused and strategic mindset.
Languages
1. Fluent in German (C1/C2) and English (C1).
