The Opportunity:
We – Ritter, part of Avantor – are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Head of Sales & Customer Success – Medical (m/f/d) to lead the multi-dimensional team in driving revenue growth, enhancing market share, and fostering strong relationships with OEM customers and distributors, as well as leading customer interaction and related customer services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and inspire the international sales team to achieve revenue and profit targets
* Assign territories, set sales goals, and ensure accountability for performance with OEM customers and distributors
* Collaborate closely with in-house Product Management and R&D to shape market strategies for both new and existing products
* Train and coach distributors to enhance their capabilities and improve customer service
* Develop and implement innovative sales strategies while managing pricing policies effectively
* Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and detailed performance reports
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, providing product training and support as needed
* Represent the company at trade exhibitions and deliver impactful distributor training and presentations
Requirements:
* A university degree in life sciences, biomedical engineering, or a related field; PhD not required, but serves as big plus
* Extensive experience in sales management, with a proven track record of success
* Fluency in German and English as absolute must; any additional languages are an advantage
* Exceptional communication skills, with a strong ability to motivate and lead teams
* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure
* Demonstrated expertise in market analysis and territory development
* Strong business acumen coupled with outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in SAP, Salesforce or other CRM tools is preferred
* Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally
* As we are located in Schwabmünchen (Bavaria), we are looking for someone who is able to be on-site 2-3 days per week
