Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Activities:
1. Lead the development and execution of sales business plan.
2. Manage and lead the development of all pillars of distribution within their assigned territory to meet their goals and objectives.
3. Prospect new distribution across all pillars of distribution to optimize the districts performance as well as balance out portfolio’s market penetration.
4. Identify deficiencies in all areas of distribution creating a plan and market campaign to address those deficiencies efficiently using all of the resources available.
5. Participate in local and national trade shows.
6. Develops a working knowledge of the competition and their ongoing sales strategies.
Financial:
7. Provide financial guidance where needed to assist our distributions position in their market.
8. Develop equipment quotes and provide financial programs offered.
9. Develops, deploys, and maintains programs (pricing, terms and conditions, non-disclosure agreements, customer incentive/rebate programs).
Other:
10. Work with product managers and engineering on product development and enhancement (i.e. Voice of Customer).
11. Maintains current knowledge on all Wacker Neuson Product lines (taking online training modules, attending classes at the VTC Training center, etc).
12. Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and sales team as needed.
Safety:
13. Performs all job functions is a safe manner and maintains safety awareness whether on Wacker Neuson Equipment or within the Corporate Fleet Vehicle.
14. Reports known accidents, injuries and unsafe practices and/or conditions to supervisor at first given opportunity.
Physical Demands and/or Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to use a keyboard, calculator, and telephone. Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and occasionally stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift (20 lbs.), and an ability to adjust vision for close vision work. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to operate a variety of motor vehicles such as truck, panel truck, compact equipment, hook up/unhook trailer, unload trailer. Must have ability to travel up to 75%.
Required Skills:
Qualifications: Additional years of experience or education may be substituted for each other as determined by Human Resources.
15. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales Management, Marketing or similar program is required.
16. 5+ years of experience in a sales role.
17. Flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required. (Saturday open houses, trade shows)
18. Knowledge of Wacker Neuson equipment, its applications and markets are preferred.
19. A basic understanding of competitive equipment and competitor’s market tactics is required.
20. Strong business acumen in terms of understanding of business concept and marketplace functions of Distribution Dealers, Rental Dealers and End Users in the construction industry.
21. Excellent communication skills in the area of communicating well formulated value propositions that competently combines our company strategy aligning our offering with distributions goals both economic and product centric.
22. Excellent verbal, written and public speaking skills.
23. Strong conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
24. Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
25. Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
26. Valid Driver’s License
