Hauptaufgaben
Serves as Supply Technician (OA) within the office and administrative operation of the Supply Subsistence Management Office (SSMO) and is responsible for ration control of subsistence issued to all training units, NATO units and permanent dining facilities (DFACs) located within the command by utilizing AFMIS and STORES. Specifically, performs the following duties:
Responsible for assigning, controlling, servicing permanent and training units. Engaged in requisitioning subsistence from depot, various commercial vendors and ration issue of Troop Issue Subsistence Supplies to ensure that adequate services are provided to permanently assigned and frequently changing training units. Double-checks work and initiates corrective actions as required. Resolves informal complaints of services and training units, and refers others to the SSM.
Prices and extends issues, receipt documents and inventories, double-checks such documents prepared by others to ensure completeness and correctness of data and computation. Assigns control numbers and logs documents in control register. Maintains control register reflecting quantity, type and dollar value of supplies issued for reconciliation of accounting documents at the end of the accounting period. Checks number of meals requested on ration requests against actual meals served, as reported on units' headcount and posts figures to control register. Monitors over/under-drawn accounts. Reports major discrepancies to SSMO of determination of corrective actions. Advises units subsisted on ration pickup schedule, menu's type of supplies available, substitute items, necessary documents, and forms required and other information concerning support. Performs a variety of functions in connection with ration control activities for both permanent and training units, with frequent untimely changes. Receives and reviews regular ration requests, emergency issues, combat operation ration issues, and requests for additional rations. Monitors monthly issue schedule, ensuring correct troop feeding strengths are put into AFMIS. Correlates and inputs correct data into computer database to properly record transactions. Advises units orally and in writing on Class I support of field training exercises, ration pickup schedule, menus and types of supplies available. Plans and establishes daily pickup schedules and monthly schedules for permanent and training units and distributes accordingly. Advises and coordinates with support units and Class I personnel changes in schedules, procedures, special meals, etc.
Maintains accurate accounts for training/permanent units and reports subsistence items issued and received. Reviews special requested items to assure items are authorized in accordance with authorized USAREUR stockage list. Reviews stockage listing and recommends deletions of non-moving or required items. Assists with the preparing of AFMIS documents for inventories, assists in inventories as required, and determines causes for inventory discrepancies by checking all documents, transfers and other available sources.
Prepares AFMIS issue documents for issuing subsistence to customers, determines quantity and types of subsistence supplies IAW USAREUR recapitulation of menu issues and ration factors. Researches AFMIS files for substitute items as required, researches files of perishable items and makes mandatory issues to permanent units, training units and DFACs. Determines stock replenishment for items necessary to complete types of rations being fed. Assures that supplies are not over ordered, analyses data regarding past usage, seasonal demand, special projects and changes in troops feeding requirements.
Maintains liaison with Defense Personnel Support Center-Europe and HQ's USAREUR, Troop Support Branch to include Food Adviser form Corp level, Food Advisers from Division Level, and installation IFA.
Performs other duties assigned.
Qualifikationsanforderungen
E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 1 year of experience as defined in B below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.
E&T Level II: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 1 year of experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level III and above: No additional experience required.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled.
• Drivers License B desired.
• Office automation skills are required.
• AFMIS and STORES knowledge desired
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
• English Language AND German Language Proficiency level B2 required.
