IT Administrator (m/f/d) Windows/Linux
FULL-TIME Bad Kreuznach, Germany Hybrid With professional experience
We are looking for a full-time IT administrator (m/f/d) with all-round experience in Windows and Linux in the hybrid model as of 01.10.2024. The office location is Bad Kreuznach.
Your tasks
* Administration, monitoring and maintenance of existing heterogeneous IT systems as well as active and passive network components
* Proactive monitoring of systems and continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure
* Active design of our IT landscape
* Support in project management, independent management of smaller projects
* Support for our internal and external customers
* Creating and maintaining documentation

Specialist knowledge
* Completed studies in the IT sector or comparable completed training
* At least 4 years of experience in the administration of IT systems
* Very good knowledge of current Windows system landscapes in the server and client area
* Experience in the area of client standardization and hardening according to BSI standards, creating and distributing images, central administration of settings.
* Very good knowledge in the design, operation and troubleshooting of Microsoft infrastructures with Active Directory, Exchange Server, group policies, DNS, DHCP, PKI.
* This includes knowledge of combined external/internal DNS systems, FSMO roles, updates of on-premise Exchange servers and Exchange databases.
* Very good knowledge of network infrastructure (active and passive components, protocols, routing, firewalls) Experience in network design, secure network segmentation with DMZ, technical skills to configure intermediate firewalls.
* Good expertise in the areas of server virtualization (VMWare). Experience in secure installation of hypervisor systems and clusters.
* Experience in information security and data protection in daily IT operations
* Knowledge in the operation of Linux servers
* Experience in the conception and development of the above-mentioned areas. Ability to plan comprehensive cross-technology and cross-service concepts with regard to standardization, information security, documentation. The pure use of the systems in the context of 1st level support (creating users, assigning rights, creating DNS entries, etc.) is explicitly not sufficient.
Desirable skills
* Good knowledge in the operation of backup solutions such as BackupExec
* MCSE / MCITP certification
* Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes or similar containerization solutions
