The Key Account Manager (d/f/m) will be responsible for driving direct sales growth and increasing margins in the Munich area, within one of the fastest growing sectors of life science research. This position is part of the Account/Direct Sales department and will be fully remote. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Develop strategies to win new business through advanced geographic key account planning, account mapping, and networking Deploy, coordinate, and leverage our outstanding Leica team of Advanced Workflow Specialists, Product Sales Specialists, Inside Sales Specialists, Marketing colleagues, and even our Channel Partners to ensure our customers are talking to the right people at the right times Decide what happens and how we serve our customers in the defined geographical key account area Manage opportunities and sales funnel proactively and constantly in order to produce accurate forecasts for the purpose of business planning The essential requirements of the job include: Degree in life sciences (biology, physics, etc.) or another natural science, or comparable professional experience Strong and proven sales track record in a relevant industry (medical devices, life sciences) with previous exposure to microscopy strongly preferred First experiences in managing and/or leading cross functional teams either via direct line management or matrix setup, or excited to take that career step Hands on, operational sales capabilities with a strategic and structured mindset, allowing you to define mid term strategy for a team and actively participate in executing it Fluent in
