Your opportunity: You’ll be based out of one of Mollie’s German offices in either Berlin or Munich. You’ll be building and closing relationships with Marketplaces in the DACH region. You are data driven and can independently manage a pipeline of marketplaces opportunities, solving for short term impact while executing the long term strategy. These marketplace partnerships are predominantly focused on embedded payment solutions and simplifying complex processes. You’ll work closely with the local and central teams and functions. Being part of our global Marketplaces team, you’ll report to the Lead Marketplaces and are part of the Global Partnerships team, consisting of 35 individuals/professionals. What you will be doing: Mapping of the marketplace ecosystem in DACH to identify opportunities, and reaching out to prospective partners Takeover ownership of existing DACH upmarket marketplace opportunities Manage complex consultative sales cycles including participation in RFPs and internal stakeholder management Take full responsibility for guiding marketplaces from first contact through to being operational and live Contribute to, and execute Mollie’s upmarket strategy Build and deliver go-to-market strategies for the Marketplaces channel, working with local leadership to ensure alignment with the wider commercial strategy in each region (across Sales, Marketing etc.) Represent Mollie at industry events across Europe, in order to expand Mollie’s positioning as a leader in the Marketplace payments space What you will bring: 5 years work experience in Business Development or Partnerships in either a Fintech, SaaS or Tech company Significant experience in managing a sales pipeline that consists of both larger strategic business development deals and smaller / high velocity deals as well as a track record in managing deals and negotiations first-hand Cross-functional experience working with various internal and external stakeholders in an international environment A strategic and analytical mindset and strong problem solving and communication skills Ability to connect easily with potential partners and build trust-based relationships Fluency (written and verbal) in German and English Preferred: previous experience in eCommerce or Marketplace models
