The Network (NT) procurement domain bears worldwide commercial responsibility in supporting the network needs of both Deutsche Telekom and Orange, ensuring that they have access to the best network technologies and services available in the market. Example product areas are broadband access for high-speed connectivity, Radio Access for best mobile networks or the various Software and Hardware elements defining the core network. That all is an exciting environment full of innovation and fast evolving vendor landscape!
Your Tasks
As dual student of Network Infrastructure, you will support strategic procurement projects of medium to high complexity at corporate and local level as well as the relationship with selected suppliers of medium to bigger size. You drive the implementation of the global category strategy and define/execute project strategies. You are also responsible for the achievement of targets and provide continued support to countries on signed deals during the whole contract duration. This includes the following duties:
* Data analytics and visualization in PowerBI using Microsoft Fabric
* Lead cross-group demand-based RFPs & RFQs and support countries during implementation phases
* Define/execute cost optimization levers and realization plans
* Negotiation with suppliers and closing of strategic medium to high value cross-group frame contracts
Your Profile
Very good to well-completed Bachelors (180 ECTS) in Economical / business administration, techno-economical or technical background (Electrical/Mechanical/Network) and you are preparing a Master degree (Master 1 or 2) or MBA in the area of Procurement, Business Administration, Economics or a qualification of the same level.
* Interest in telecommunication or network technologies and/or manufacturing industries
* Interest in data visualization software / Business intelligence products ( e.g. Power BI)
* Previous internships and practical engineering experience are an important decision criteria
* Capability to identify cost drivers, understand their specifications and group them into functionalities
* Willingness to work independently and to adapt quickly to new and challenging tasks.
* Systematic approach, confidence to research information and to present them to the team
* Analytical mind-set, strong problem solving skills and an ability to be pro-active with a sense of urgency
* Eagerness to work on a multi-cultural, fast-changing and cross-functional environment
* Mandatory fluency in English and German (B2), French as a plus
