Gersthofen is Kraton Pine Chemical's one of four facilities in Europe with approx. 25 employees.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a Plant Manager for our factory in Gersthofen, in the Augsburg area in Germany. As a Plant Manager you will lead development on site within safety and sustainability, quality, production, maintenance, and technology with local support from Supply Chain and regional support from HR and Finance. You will lead and develop the management team.

Your role includes responsibility to:
* Lead the management team in Gersthofen and provide leadership and direction to create a safe and efficient operation.
* Ensuring that the plant works with Operate with Excellence mindset, drives cultural change and support personnel in their growth.
* Ensuring that work environment and safety at the plant, as well as that the operations meet legal requirements and follow the company's guidelines and standards.
* Ensure that long- and short-term plans for developing the facility exist, are followed, and evaluated and updated.
* Effectively managing facility functions/operations activities to meet performance targets in annual budget, cost improvement, HSE, process safety, reliability, availability, productivity, quality, delivery, and regulatory compliance.
* Be responsible for plant goals, departmental goals, own and employee goals, are supporting the goals and vision of Kraton Pine Chemicals. You represent Kraton Gersthofen in Kraton's global forum.
* Implement facility strategies aligned with the company's strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus to achieve key goals for facility availability, asset capacity and flexibility.
* Lead negotiations with the works council in co-operation with regional HR.
Required Skills
As a plant leader, you have the ability to make decisions, good self-awareness, and strong empathic ability. To be successful in the role, you need to have technical competence and an understanding of chemistry, process safety and experience from process, or chemical industry. It is advantageous to have experience in developing an organization towards Operate with Excellence.
Furthermore, you need to have at least min. 5 years of leadership experience, good ability to develop organizations, decision-making and cooperation with work councils.
Adequate competence in business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources).
You report to the company's European Manufacturing Director who is located in Sweden. You communicate effortlessly in both German and English. You have strong cooperation skills, you are responsible and you seek knowledge. In this recruitment, we attach great importance to your personal suitability.
