Main Accountabilities :
General
* Promote, openly support, live and comply with the core values of the Company: SHE, Accountability, Innovation, Teamwork and Integrity
* Establish strong relationships with the existing customers and new prospects; execute defined number of customer visits reflecting the intrinsic value of the customer relationship,
* Public representation of the company at trade fairs, events & congresses.
Commercial
* Reponsibility for Volume, Margin (Budget & Forecast) within the set target framework; Regularly report, also on potentials/risks and make up concepts for countermeasures
* Implement agreed sales conditions by value selling approach in agreement with company strategy. Optimize margin and volume and manage risks
* Implement sales and business development plan identifying opportunities to target growth and achieve sales objectives
* Help achieve working capital objectives by optimising payment terms, inventories and ensuring customer adherence to terms. Active cooperation with Group Finance on credit management
* Participate/input into monthly sales forecast process in line with group planning schedule; Contribute to the annual budget
* Assist with management of suitable distributors and agents for target markets
Reporting
* Provide a monthly report on business activities (including sales performance versus budget) and the market environment
* Provide visit reports & all relevant feedback in CRM
Market / Competition
* Analysis of customer, competitor and market trends and demand structure in defined area. Regularly report into the organisation
Team Work
* Work closely with technical team to identify new opportunities and promote new products, technology to the market, growth in specialty business
* Ensure close cooperation with Tech Service, Product Management and Marketing to support activity in the territory
* Work closely with Customer Service and Logistics to deliver a ‘customer first’ approach and ensure that agreed service levels are maintained with all customers, incl complaint management
Synthomer Excellence
* Commercial excellence: assure alignment with Synthomer Commercial Excellence objectives; ensure account profiles are up to date, use of CRM and monthly reporting tools
* Initiate and monitor business improvement projects in accordance with margin and product strategy in conjunction with the Technical Service resource
Requirements:
* A university commercial / technical degree and/or first professional sales experience in respective industry segment and area
* Fluent in German and English languages (preferable German native speaker)
* Outstanding Business integrity
