PURPOSE The Software Architect, internally called System Architect for Infotainment Systems is responsible for defining and communicating a shared technical and architectural vision for future infotainment systems to an Agile Release Train (ART), which is responsible for the development of the infotainment journey of the future for Porsche. The system architect plays a decisive role in aligning the teams of the Agile Release Train to a shared technical direction and helps to ensure the overall system is technically fit for its intended purpose. ACCOUNTABILITIES Define and promote a shared technical and architectural vision and establish a long-term architectural strategy for future infotainment systems together with product management and product teams of the ART and derive Nonfunctional Requirements (NFRs) for the implementation. Actively collaborate with the overarching architectural community, to ensure the ART is aligned with the technological landscape of the ecosystem surrounding the infotainment product. Work closely with product management, solution management, developers, and suppliers to ensure fit for the purpose of the overarching architecture. Identify interfaces and synergies, to foster collaboration between teams of the ART and the vehicle and cloud ecosystem. Analyze technical trade-offs, determine primary components/subsystems, validate technology assumptions and evaluate implementation alternatives. Enable teams to ensure their systems are compliant with data protection regulations and security standards. WHAT YOU BRING ALONG BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar.
