The role is part of Biopharma Technical Development and will be based in Holzkirchen, Germany. Our aspiration is to be innovative in applying science to develop analytical technologies and processes that will enable timely submission of high-quality analytical data for biosimilar dossier submission. We are looking for an Expert Science & Technology Analytical Characterization in our TDB labs based in Holzkirchen with experience in instrumental analytics, preferably of protein products. Job Description Key responsibilities: Design, plan, perform, interpret and report results of scientific experiments and analytics independently. These are related to analytical characterization activities as well as method development including qualification in a modern analytical lab with state-of-the-art equipment, working under development compliance standard. Ensure good documentation practices Integrate digitalized processes in your daily work (e.g. automated sample preparation, digital lab management systems ) Write analytical or instrumental procedures, analytical requests and method development reports Support the team for the development of biosimilars, working in a multidisciplinary environment Support pipeline projects, represent the department in local networks, lead science activities and contribute with your experience and knowledge Maintain analytical equipment and manage operational aspects in the laboratory Communicate, address and tackle problems (e.g. unexpected results from experiments) within own & broader area of responsibility and lead root cause investigations Act as a technical expert in audits and inspections as needed Be part of an open and motivated team with flat hierarchies, bring in your networking skills and collaborate across boundaries Bring in and realize your ideas and improvement proposals, be creative, open-minded, think bold and inspire others What you will bring to the role Bachelor’s degree in a relevant natural science such as biotechnology, biochemical engineering, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, food chemistry or equivalent with 3 years experience within the pharmaceutical industry or Master´s degree (work experience within the pharmaceutical industry is preferable). Profound experience with instrumental analytics (especially HPLC, CE and/or LC-MS techniques) and good knowledge about chemical processes is advantageous Proficiency in English and German (oral and written) Curiosity about new digital approaches and innovative technologies is very welcome Flexible, pragmatic and goal-oriented working style and a scientific way of thinking will be appreciated A personality with a can-do mind-set and the ability to adopt to change with strong communication across organizational interfaces and the ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team in a matrix environment is desirable You’ll receive: Competitive salary.
