Director of Product Management
As the Director of Product Management, you will directly report to our CPO and lead a group of product managers to shape the group’s ERP product strategy and roadmap based on our product vision in close collaboration with executive leadership and the rest of the product team.
Responsibilities:
1. Partner with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to align product strategy with revenue goals, customer acquisition, and retention strategies. Ensure products contribute to sustainable growth and profitability.
2. Establish a strong data culture within the product team by defining key metrics, implementing robust analytics frameworks, and continuously optimizing product performance based on insights.
3. Collaborate with commercial teams to refine pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies to maximize revenue and customer lifetime value.
4. Lead the creation of business cases for new initiatives, ensuring they align with market demand, cost structures, and expected return on investment.
5. Conduct market research, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions and maintain a strong market position.
6. Translate company objectives into actionable group KPIs, align product initiatives accordingly and are accountable for the contribution to company success.
7. Liaise with other team leads and executive leadership to improve on and advocate for best product management practices.
8. Orchestrate multiple business-critical cross-functional projects and communicate progress and tradeoffs to stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
9. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, provide transparency and orchestrate product-related decision-making processes among them.
10. Foster a culture of transparency and communication and challenge others while letting them challenge you to deliver the best results possible.
11. Keep a constant eye on our competition, discern market and customer trends and ensure your teams are working on the right priorities.
12. Educate and mentor product managers while setting a high bar of quality in execution and process.
Qualifications:
1. 8+ years of hands-on experience shipping ERP or similarly complex B2B software products and 4+ years leading product management teams in fast-paced environments.
2. Strong commercial mindset, understanding how product decisions impact revenue, growth, and profitability. Experience with pricing, upsell/cross-sell strategies, and go-to-market planning is a plus.
3. Highly data-literate, leveraging analytics, experimentation, and insights to drive product decisions. Experience with tools like SQL, Matumo, or MS Clarity is beneficial.
4. Fluent in financial modeling and business case development, enabling you to assess investment trade-offs and prioritize initiatives that drive tangible business outcomes.
5. Proven track record of improving key business metrics such as customer acquisition, churn reduction, retention, and revenue growth through product initiatives.
6. Analytical and data-informed, seeking the truth in numbers and facts and how to optimize the impact of your products to company objectives and KPIs.
7. Obsessed with understanding the needs of the users of your services and possess a thorough knowledge of the design methodology and processes.
8. Empowering leadership style, love working with, and thrive in the presence of people with diverse backgrounds, talents, and mindsets.
9. Proven track record of effectively leading the entire software product development cycle in B2B companies, from discovery to post-launch support.
10. Ability to handle ambiguity and are a pragmatic and resourceful problem solver.
11. Great communicator; excellent written and verbal skills in English and German.
12. Highly motivated self-starter who is willing and eager to go the extra mile.
