Role Overview: We are looking for a talented Head of People to join our HR Team in the Heide Park Resort, based in Soltau, Germany The Head of People acts as a true business partner, adviser and enabler in all areas of the business, supporting the leadership team to lead, develop and engage their team members to deliver the resort business plan and drive HR KPI’s. Reporting to the VP of Strategic People Partnering EMEA, the Head of People - Heide Park Resort ensures that both regional and global people initiatives are rolled out in the resort that enhance the overall employee experience. To build strong working partnership with the leadership team to drive an open and collaborative culture across the resort, To partner with the resort heads of department, acting as a trusted advisor and guide in all employee matters Build relationships with key managers and acts as an influential and trusted business partner. Using these relationships to deliver the People strategy and drive improved business performance. Together with their team provide full HR support to managers and employees across the resort Leads communication and engagement with the works council Key Objectives: Deliver the Heide Park Resort People Plan to enable and engage our employees to achieve their business objectives Coach, support and influence key stakeholders Upskill and guide heads of department and other people managers in all areas of employee relations, talent and performance management Champion and drive key People initiatives, both local, regional and group-wide Act as the internal expert in local employment law, managing employee relations issues with a commercial and pragmatic approach Manage the relationship with the resort works council striving to achieve outcomes mutually beneficial to the company and its employees Expertly manage the monthly payroll process along with the resort HR team and ensure that all cyclical HR activities (pay reviews, bonus payments, reward statements, objective setting, end of year reviews, recognition programs etc) are flawlessly executed Work with the wider Germany and EMEA People team to ensure the offer of an integrated and effective HR service and support to the business Line management of Junior HR Administrator, HR Admin/Payroll Coordinator You have a proven track record in building effective relationships and managing the delivery of HR strategies You have excellent business partnering skills - HR and/or employee relations Business Partnering background and experience; the ability to interpret business needs, and translate into solutions You have expertise and experience in the application of German employment law and experience of working with works councils and trades unions You have excellent commercial acumen - evidence of understanding, articulating and supporting business strategy You have advanced stakeholder skills - a proven ability to coach, facilitate and influence from front line employee to senior leader level You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in both German and English You make an effort to stay current with contemporary thinking and are willing to challenge beliefs and traditional approaches to drive a higher quality organisational performance and culture You are a strong HR All-rounder and generalist You are solutions orientated You are proficient in MS Office and HR systems 28 Days holiday until year 3, when this increases to 30 days Two days volunteer leave per year Pension bAV 40 % discount in the LEGO®-Online shop Merlin Magic Pass for free entry for yourself and friends/family into our attractions worldwide Professional development and training opportunities Regular Team-Events Discounts through Corporate Benefits Bike-leasing
