Located in the picturesque countryside of Tuscany, the company is one of the Italian subsidiaries of a leading provider of innovative automation solutions headquartered in Germany, with 16 locations worldwide and around 1,700 employees, and is recognised as a trusted partner for companies seeking to optimise their production processes in a wide range of industries, including automotive, medical devices and consumer goods.
We are currently looking for a Managing Director Italy (m/f/d), who will work hand in hand with one of the founders and current General Manager of the company.
Start: at the earliest possible date
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Developing and implementing business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals
2. Reporting to the board, with direct lines to the CEO and CFO, providing market insights and strategic advice
3. Developing and implementing business plans to improve cost efficiency
4. Maintaining positive and trust-based relations with business partners, shareholders, and authorities
5. Overseeing the company's business operations, financial performance, investments, and ventures
6. Supervising, guiding, and delegating executives in their duties
7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and company policies
8. Assessing, managing, and resolving problematic developments and situations
9. Building and enhancing the company's public profile at events, public engagements, etc.
YOUR PROFILE
1. Long-standing experience in a comparable management position
2. Technical background in and great understanding of mechanical or electrical engineering in the automation industry, with a special focus on winding technology
3. A technical Bachelor's or Master's degree, e.g. in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation technology or comparable is not mandatory but would be desirable
4. Strong sales affinity and experience in sales roles, as well as corresponding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
5. Proven track record in strategic planning, operational management and building customer relationships
6. Business fluency in Italian and English. Knowledge of German is considered an advantage
