How will you make an impact in this role? Global Merchant & Network Services brings together American Express' merchant-and network-related businesses. This includes: GMS, which manages the relationships with the millions of merchants around the world that accept American Express; Global Loyalty Coalition which includes the international PAYBACK rewards programs; and Global Network Services, which brings together Global Network Partnerships, Network Solutions & Operations, Accertify, InAuth and Prepaid Responsibilities : Responsible to Drive American Express Acceptance in priority Geos and Industry through Merchant Acquisition and Business Development. Manage an effective pipeline of opportunities & to identify potential opportunities against major business drivers. Develop in-depth understanding of the marketplace trends, dynamics and prospects needs. Lead strategies and collaborative efforts with Partners and internal groups as Marketing, Pricing, Servicing, GCO, etc? to strengthen Amex Value proposition. Drive marketing platforms and merchant activation programs in alignment with Global Network and Marketing Information. Proactively conduct research and various data gathering activities, including networking and reading, to understand the market/industry, Amex?s competition, and issues impacting the customer?s business, use reports extensively to acquire and retain merchants. Influence customer decisions maximizing all interactions with prospects to demonstrate the unique value of American Express products and services to customer?s specific needs Minimum Qualifications Validated experience in Sales / Merchant acquisition & Relationship Management. Top holdouts Consultative selling skills (Be able to make presentations in English and Spanish) to Merchants decision Makers. Cards/payments business experience and understanding (issuing & acquiring ecosystem) Handling and overcome objections Knowledge of external insights & competitive landscape Virtual / Guadalajara Preferred Qualifications Business Administration Bachelors Degree, Finance. MBA or equivalent experience is a plus 100% Sales hunter, High level of English language (oral and written), self-motivated, teammate.
