The Position Work at the forefront of pharmaceutical innovation We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Postdoctoral Scientist to join our Pharmaceutical Development Biologicals department located in Biberach. As project lead and principal investigator, you will drive projects related to establishing a novel long-acting dosage form for biological molecules. Your contributions will significantly benefit patients with a currently unmet medical need. This Position is limited for 2 years. Tasks & responsibilities - In your new role you will contribute to the development of an injectable long-acting dosage form like microparticles and hydrogels for biologicals. - You will optimize drug delivery formulations with regards to physico-chemical properties, injectability like viscosity and injection force, dissolution kinetics, and drug stability. - Moreover, you will develop innovative methods for product characterization as well as key process steps for aseptic manufacturing. - You will take lead in project planning, study execution, and implementation of your results. - Not least, you will collaborate with internal and external formulation, analytical, and process experts. Requirements - Doctoral degree (PhD) in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, or related disciplines - Proven expertise in the fields of long-acting injectables formulation, drug delivery systems for biologicals, and protein encapsulation - Hands-on experience in protein, polymer, and nano- or micro particle analytics - Good understanding of biopharmaceutical drug product manufacturing processes, e.g. aseptic spray-drying and fill and finish - Outstanding organizational and analytical skills and an open, proactive, and problem-solving mindset - Team player with excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German Ready to contact us?
