The Scope The Content Marketing Officer is responsible for supporting the planning of, creating, improving, managing and maintaining FSC International’s content and messaging in cross-channel formats. Main Roles & Responsibilities • To develop evocative and effective communication to move markets and consumers and consumers toward sustainable forestry • To coordinate internally and externally to update and create new content to ensure recency, relevance, and effectiveness with different stakeholder audiences • To translate expected outcomes and technical content into copy, imagery and ideas that elicit desired responses across a complex audience ecosystem • To support content planning and distribution, working closely across departments to link and align content outputs • Additional tasks as agreed with the Brand Marketing Programme Manager Your profile Education and Training : University degree in marketing, strategic communication, journalism, or related field Working Experience, Style and Skills: • The ideal candidate must have a copywriting/ content writing background with at least 3 years’ experience. • Experience of producing and distributing content for a range of audiences and working with a matrix of channel specialists • Copywriting skills, with proven experience in writing impactful content for the web and other digital channels • Experience writing and publishing copy for web – with knowledge of SEO strategy and implementation • Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure, in a fast paced, dynamic communications environment • Experience in managing an in-house briefing and production process: creating detailed schedules, setting deadlines, and distributing work between creative resource, as well as monitoring, prioritising and creating adjustments in line with workflow • Has a passion and commitment to responsible forestry and/or broad sustainability in alignment with FSC’s mission Communication Skills : • Writing skills: excellent ability to write, edit and proofread copy. • Exemplary verbal skills that create cohesive team efforts and support decision making • The ability to facilitate interactive discussions and maintain positive interpersonal relations Languages : • Fluency in English (spoken and written). • Proficiency in another FSC official language (French or Spanish) is a plus Computer Skills : • High level of competence with Microsoft Office suite • Familiarity with MailChimp or similar newsletter creating systems • Competence in making web CMS updates a plus (e.g., Drupal) Why us?
