Sales Manager - Battery/Energy Storage
The Sales Manager is responsible for identifying new customers, fostering relationships, evaluating potential business opportunities, and securing them for the company. This role includes spearheading the commercial development of Key Accounts and delivering the customer value proposition within the region. The Sales Manager focuses on sustainable commercial growth, driving leadership within the organization, and expanding business through existing contacts while cultivating new customer relationships.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Market Intelligence and Strategy
* Support Euro market intelligence initiatives and develop key account strategies to drive business growth.
* Identify opportunities in vertical market segments, contribute to strategic planning, and provide guidance on market direction.
* Customer Relationships and Partnerships
* Build and nurture customer relationships to establish strategic partnerships and increase brand prominence.
* Oversee manufacturer representatives as primary contacts for quality customers, optimizing the structure to maximize project value and expedite wins.
* Key Accounts and Resource Management
* Focus on resource requirements and capabilities for strategic and key accounts.
* Meet monthly revenue targets for new business opportunities (NBOs) and ensure sustainable results aligned with annual sales plans.
* Program Management
* Proactively manage customer expectations to secure positive revenue outcomes.
* Collaborate with the project management team to develop and refine program plans, addressing scope, schedule, and budget.
* Conduct regular program reviews, resolve issues, mitigate risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders, including senior management.
Requirements:
* Business Acumen and Leadership
* Strong understanding of financial outcomes and experience acting as a P&L leader for sub-segments.
* Proven ability to establish and develop strategic client relationships.
* Sales Expertise
* Experience managing external salesforces (e.g., manufacturer reps) in a B2B environment.
* Established professional reputation and network with key decision-makers in potential customer organizations.

* Preferred experience in the Lithium-ion energy storage system industry or familiarity with product design and operations.

Education & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business, or a related field.
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in external sales within the Lithium-ion energy storage system industry or a similar sales management environment.
* Proficiency in Salesforce CRM is a plus.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and cross-cultural sensitivity skills.
* Demonstrated organizational and leadership abilities.
