Your area of work:
Risk IT develops and maintains several mission critical applications and is launching ambitious projects with broad impact. Our Functional Architecture team is responsible for evolving the Risk IT system landscape to support business growth initiatives and technical innovation. Working closely with different business and application development teams, our focus is on the end-to-end view of business requirements along the software change management process, understanding their impact and supporting the coordination between the individual Risk IT applications. We are looking for a functional architect to join our team in Eschborn who is passionate about finding solutions fitting the Risk IT system landscape, solving problems and helps us continually improving the functionality of our systems.
Your responsibilities:
1. Understand the Clearing and Risk system landscape and relevant dependencies and interactions between the individual applications, evolve functional roadmap for the Risk IT system landscape.
2. Acquire insights into financial market products and processes as well as our state-of-the-art risk calculation model.
3. Closely align with business stakeholders to understand the driver for business requirements and market developments as well as the regulatory framework.
4. Conduct impact analysis of cross-system requirements and create high-level solution designs fitting the existing Risk IT system landscape.
5. Closely align with Risk IT functional analysts to ensure smooth transition to specifications, development and test.
6. Support identification of impact of Risk IT changes on internal and external stakeholders and creation of relevant documentation, support external clients and software vendors in their change process if required.
7. Contribute to cross-product initiatives representing Risk IT in system design discussions with different stakeholders.
Your profile:
8. University degree, preferably in economics, information technology or mathematics or comparable education with professional experience.
9. Good understanding of financial markets and products in different asset classes, ideally also background in quantitative risk management methods and pricing of financial products.
10. Experience in modelling of IT systems and functional analysis (ArchiMate) as well as system documentation (Confluence).
11. Passion to find sustainable solutions in system design, strong results orientation and striving for high-quality standards.
12. Excellent communication skills, proficiency in written and spoken English.
13. Open mindset and strong team player.
Preferred skills/qualifications – the following skills would be a plus:

16. Proficiency in written and spoken German or Czech.
This position is offered on a fixed-term contract basis for a duration of one year.This opportunity is open to flexible working arrangements, such as working from home, flexible or compressed hours, and part-time.
