As part of our IT team, you will support our staff in fulfilling their research tasks by operating central IT services and developing or co-designing new IT systems. You will work in an environment of the latest technological developments. What you will do
* Support staff on Windows, Linux, or Mac workstations - you will decide on resolution options on a case-by-case basis and prioritize requests independently
* Covering support operations in our helpdesk and 1st level support for end users (by phone, e-mail and on-site)
* Prioritization of tickets and documentation of requests in the ticket system
* Independent processing and resolution of requests from 1st-level support together with 2nd-level support
* Create and maintain various user accounts for internal as well as external services
What you bring to the table
* A completed training in information technology or relevant certification and equivalent experiences.
* Experiences in installation and configuration of client systems by means of software distribution systems, including troubleshooting for
o Windows
o Linux (Ubuntu)
o MacOS
* Handling of service requests via a ticket system
* First knowledge in the areas of network technology, virtualization or mobile device management
* Good German or English skills
