Role Overview
As an Embedded Solutions Architect, you'll be a central component in guiding technical partnerships with our Global Systems Integrators, from start to finish. Your role involves tailoring deals to meet customer needs, maximizing our Solutions and Services opportunity. You'll spearhead growth initiatives, kickstarting crucial technical dialogues, linking clients with our specialists for big, intricate projects, ensuring our continued success.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Accountable for activities around solution ideation and solution design
2. Work with the practice teams to share the vision and share expectations to complete the end-to-end solution, from standalone solutions created by each practice.
3. Understand business context and challenges to define the vision and requirements for the solution. Recommend potential options, selecting the most optimal option (across RFI/RFP and proactive pursuits with the GSI)
4. Co-create with the GSI team and communicate how the solution achieves the end client’s desired outcomes.
5. Successfully incorporate Lenovo and partner solutions, assets/tools/IPs in the solution to bring ‘best of’ to the design.
6. Details appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, integration, or decommissioning options incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership.
7. Shape transformational deals with senior client executives, partnering with account/business development execs.
8. Quickly formulate and communicate any pricing changes, proactively adjust, and modify the solution to fit within budget and align to end customer business outcome.

9. Understand the solution approach and understand when to choose which approach based on Winnability, Profitability, and Deliverability. Note: advantages/disadvantages of each - applicable scenarios, examples, learnings, etc
10. Consensus building with both external and internal stakeholders and ownership of the solution defense.
11. Excellent communication skills, relationship, and customer management skills
12. Should be able to deliver architectural initiatives in the space of digital, cloud, and open-source technologies with a strong knowledge of IT infrastructure. Should have performed a similar role & capacity for large transformational engagements.
13. Ability to understand effort and resource estimation, alignment, and drive optimization.
14. Able to work with CXO teams and enterprise-wide initiatives in an advisory role.
15. Experience with performing discovery and assessment of end customers’ overall portfolio, IT and business priorities, and customer insights to create a roadmap.
16. Ability to work in a cross-functional team, as well as with various stakeholders, working closely with the sales team to guide and evangelize patterns to help in navigating the customer ecosystem with the GSI.
17. Experience in defining the IT strategy and roadmap for end customers.

19. 10-15 years’ experience, with strong Technical and Domain knowledge
20. Consulting or GSI delivery background preferred.
