We are seeking a Service Delivery Manager to join our IT team in Germany. In this role, you will manage the local first-line support team and take responsibility for the IT services provided to our operations by both internal and external IT suppliers.
You will collaborate with various GXO application teams, GXO infrastructure teams, and suppliers to ensure the appropriate level of service for our operations.
Additionally, you will oversee Major Incidents, incidents, problem management, communications, and requested changes. You will work closely with the business to assess and report on IT services using performance reports and metrics.
What does your day look like in the role of our IT Delivery Support Manager:
Service Management:
* Lead the service organization in Germany
* Align service levels and monitor IT service performance
* Maintain ownership of support services, including incident, problem, release, and change management processes. Manage initiatives, risks, mitigation plans, KPIs, and related reports
* Drive continuous improvement in IT service delivery using trend analysis, IT performance, and service management tools
* Manage internal and external service providers
* Oversee application and infrastructure upgrades, changes, and deployments
* Act as the main contact point for internal stakeholders during major incidents
Team management:
* Lead and manage the support team to ensure quality is aligned with organizational goals (non-disciplinary management)
* Set tactical goals for the team in line with the company’s strategy
* Hire and onboard new team members
* Plan on-call and shift schedules
Communication & Reporting:
* Report on KPIs and SLAs, including trend analysis
* Evaluate supplier performance and measure it against SLAs
* Provide updates on continuous improvement initiatives within the support team
What do you need to be successful:
* Several years of experience in service delivery and reporting management
* Experience in a large and complex organization
* Background in logistics (ideally 3PL)
* Full proficiency in English, German is a plus
* Excellent organizational skills, maturity, and the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
