Regional Surgical Clinical Manager (m/f/d) Germany South & Central
As the Regional Surgical Clinical Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic clinical team. In this role, you will oversee both the strategic and tactical operations of the team to help achieve business objectives while prioritizing patient care and outcomes. It is crucial that you resonate with the organization's mission, vision, goals, and strategies, and possess the ability to effectively communicate and translate these concepts to the clinical team on site. Your Main Responsibilities
* Ensure field team effectiveness through 1:1 travel and on-site coaching.
* Manage clinical outcomes by ensuring application of best practices and ABIOMED clinical training to enhance patient care and optimize client experiences.
* Manage and support patient implant coverage and customer communication.
* Drive growth and implementation of the surgical business, coordinating and managing joint activities with Surgical Account Managers, the Physician Program team, Marketing, Training, and local cardiology teams.
* Ensure staff and client competence through development, retention, and performance management of the clinical team.
* Foster continuous personal and professional skill development within your team.
* Develop therapy by implementing ABIOMED's surgical products and training physicians and hospital staff on Impella usage for excellent clinical outcomes.
* Build and establish peer-to-peer surgical networks to share best practices and create educational programs in coordination with our Physician Program team, Medical Office, Marketing, Surgical Account Managers and the local teams.
* Collaborate on surgical campaigns with EU/US marketing teams.
* Demonstrate a strong work ethic, representing the company with integrity and professionalism.
* Provide case support in new surgical centers and complex cases as needed.
* Represent the company at surgical conferences across the EMEA region.
Your Expertise
* College degree in Business, Nursing, Cardiac Perfusion, or equivalent medical degree required, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred
* A minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably in the world of MCS (mechanical circulatory support, ventricular assist device)
* Strategic Selling Skills
* Ability to choose methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve results
* Clinical experience with medical devices is a plus; strong cardiac operating room and/or cath. lab experience is required
* Performing duties and responsibilities in compliance with the laws and regulations governing the medical device industry
* Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly and effectively
* Willingness to travel regularly (60%) for meetings with field teams and clients.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and fluency in German and English
