SUMMARY:
As a member of the Project management team, the Project Engineer designs solutions based on customer specific requirements and agreed specifications, acts as the Main Point of contact for technical topics internal and external and performs internal final project acceptance. The Project Engineer supports the Field Service technicians during installations until completion of the customer agreed configured solution. The Project Engineer supports the Solution Consultant and the Project Manager in reviewing of the technical specifications, efforts required and in liaising with customers and OEM partners whenever required. The successful candidate is a pro-active team player with good appearance towards the customer and experiences in project engineering / coordination of IT deployments and rollouts. Advanced communication skills, as well as being flexible, innovative and selfmotivative are part of the profile.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Be the key Person for our customers regarding all technical topics during a project. Travel to these projects as needed.
• Participate as technical expert in Customer Workshops like Risk Assessment or Scope Workshops.
• Become a “trusted advisor” and work to influence the direction, focus and strategy of the account base as it relates to initiatives in our space.
• Be responsible for project engineering: technical scope including documentation of this (scope statement and timing diagrams etc.) Review Project documentation.
• Base Lining the technical aspects of the Project
• Evaluate Project Changes for technical aspects.
• Participate and Release Factory System Test (FST) and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT).
• Work close to internal delivery units and make sure the solution is handed over to relevant departments.
• Conduct FST Briefing and be the Point of contact for any technical questions during installation phase.
• Prepare open Point List and actively work on closing those after Project installation
• Finalize technical Project Documentation and hand over the installed base to After Sales Team.
• Identify the potential to generate new business, and trigger Sales accordingly.
• Perform internal/external project review together with Project Manager.
• Constantly train yourself to new get a deeper knowledge of the Products and new features.
• Thrive customer feedback to appropriate Departments internally for Product improvements and enhancements
• The position involves approximately 20-30% travel, both domestically and internationally
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Knowledgeable of packaging industry automation products preferably Track & Trace and Pharma environment.
• Computer Skills and aptitude for quickly learning new software tools and computer hardware
• Experience in developing solutions being able to test and validate performance against project deliveries.
• Technical background in automation, mechanical and electrical engineering, IT
• Experience in dealing with clients.
• Must be comfortable in a highly dynamic environment, working with a variety of disciplines.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor or comparable degree in Engineering (Electrical, Software, Computer, or Automation) Experience with packaging line equipment, preferably in pharmaceutical and/or food packaging industries
• Proven track record of developing, testing and installing solutions across multiple sites and or countries.
• Proven track record of fault finding and problem solving.
