Your tasks
The junior research group will continue to build bridges between immunology and the other departments at the institute (e.g. toxicology, behavioral and/or neurosciences).
Possible interactions between the (gut) microbiome and the immune system, the liver or neurological or cognitive processes (gut-liver-brain axis) should be investigated in preferably human-experimental research approaches for the investigation and characterization of the microbiome. The research questions should also be applicable to occupational science topics.
Your profile
PhD in immunology, biology, medicine or related disciplines
Several years of experience as a postdoctoral researcher with corresponding publication record and experience in acquiring third-party funding
Initial research success in a topic relevant to the junior research group is desirable
Communication and teamwork skills as well as above-average commitment
Good written and spoken English skills
The applicant should be able to independently and autonomously establish and lead a research group

A fulltime position with currently 39,83 hours per week
Remuneration according to the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (position value EG 13 TV-L. The classification depends on the collective agreement and personal requirements)
