Key Responsibilities: Lead the evaluation and integration of novel multi-omics technologies (in particular spatial omics), and the development of data processing and analysis methods (e.g. image-based spatial omics technologies) Oversee the building and maintenance of robust data quality control and processing pipelines, including integration of different multi-omics modalities to generate comprehensive biological insights Manage data integrity and ensure compliance with industry standards Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including data engineering, translational research, computational biology, AI/ML, and disease experts, to drive innovative projects Engage with academic partners to foster collaborative research and identify novel targets and biomarkers relevant to human disease Responsible for project management efforts, including planning, resource allocation, risk management, and timeline adherence, to ensure successful project completion Requirements: Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Bioinformatics, Medicine, or related disciplines) Demonstrated scientific expertise and knowledge in spatial omics and other technologies used to characterize disease tissues, supported by publications and other contributions to the field Expertise in statistical, programming and ML methods is preferred Proven experience in leading and executing research projects, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary matrix team Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving research environment Exceptional written and oral communication skills across highly diverse teams LI-GSK Why GSK?
