Key Responsibilities
We provide expert actuarial consulting services focused on reserving, encompassing the analysis of claims data, reserve estimation, and risk modeling.
The role involves leading and managing the preparation of reserve reports for clients, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards.
We develop and refine actuarial models for reserving purposes, leveraging relevant methodologies to drive informed decision-making.
Collaboration with clients is key, as we work together to interpret findings and provide actionable recommendations for improving their reserve positions.
Mentorship is also a vital aspect of this role, as we offer guidance and development opportunities to junior analysts.
Required Skills and Experience
A strong background in actuarial exams (e.g., FIA, DAV, FCAS or equivalent) is essential, along with at least 3 years of actuarial experience and a focus on reserving.
Advanced knowledge of actuarial techniques, particularly those related to reserving (e.g., chain-ladder, Bornhuetter-Ferguson, and stochastic models), is required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights.
A solid understanding of European insurance regulatory frameworks and financial reporting standards (IFRS, Solvency II) is essential.
Excellent communication skills in English and German, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
