Job Description
Device42 is the most comprehensive agentless discovery system for Hybrid IT available today.
Device42 can continuously discover, map, and optimize infrastructure and applications across
data centers and cloud, providing accurate views of your IT ecosystem. Customers in more than
60 countries use these technical capabilities as they manage and modernize IT infrastructures
and application landscapes and adopt DevOps practices.
As a Solutions Architect, you’ll be a technical consultant working closely with potential Device42
customers to ensure the product aligns to their needs. Working side by side with sales, you’ll
serve as the technical and product expert, articulating the best solutions for customers. This role
requires you to be comfortable interacting with customers in addition to technological depth and
awareness.
* Serve as the technical subject matter expert throughout the sales process.
* Own and manage various activities including technical presentations, demonstrations,and proof of concept projects.
* Build and increase Device42’s relevance with customers by qualifying customer’s needs,desired outcomes, and benefits and positioning Device42 in context to it.
* Understand and evangelize Device42, its competitors, value proposition, and positioningto more effectively field advanced questions from customers and partners.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with the Customer Success, Product, and Engineeringteams
Qualifications
* 5+ years in a sales engineering role, preferably with enterprise customers.
* The ability to effectively demonstrate unique value propositions based on individual customer needs.
* Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts into business value.
* Experience and understanding of cloud technologies, cloud migration tools, and data center technology strongly preferred.
* Understanding of three-tier architecture and load balancing.
* Network and/or System administration knowledge or experience
