A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in international business, international economics, or international marketing. Minimum 10 years of relevant full-time work experience in international sales, business development or investment and trade promotion, preferably in international organisations, foreign direct investment promotion or economic development at a managerial position.
Excellent presentation and communication skills in English and German. Reporting to the Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in Berlin, the Head of Business and Talent Attraction / Investment Promotion (Berlin) will lead a small team in attracting companies to set up or expand in Hong Kong by engaging in strategic planning of investment promotion activities, visits to top-level executives of leading companies and small medium enterprises providing practical assistance to potential investors from 8 central European countries, namely Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, the Slovak Republic, Slovenia and Switzerland.
Devise the list of target companies, in particular in priority sectors as identified by the Invest Hong Kong Head Office and those that can create valued employment in Hong Kong.
Arrange and organise visit programmes for different sector teams as well as directorates from the Invest Hong Kong Head Office.
Oversee the administration of the Dedicated Team for Attracting Businesses and Talents / Investment Promotion Unit in the HKETO and manage the budget and financial resources of the team.
Support the HKETO’s initiatives on talent attraction and other activities as and when required.
