The Global Engineering Change Manager will be based in Stuttgart, reporting to the Director Global Engineering Operation & Process Management, Implementing and leading a global Engineering Change Order Organization (ECO) as well implement and manage the external Services (SOW) Strategy for the design team in the automotive division within Flex. This role can be part time (min. 30h / week) with a flexible time model or up to full-time. What a typical day looks like: You own the ECO Process and drive improvements, monitor KOIs and provide regular reports. You support the matrixed, cross functional teams in the execution of the engineering change orders and establish a global team to manage engineering change orders. You implement the external Services Strategy and c oordinate external services in coordination with the automotive design team. Collecting feedback from the design teams you adapt the strategy accordingly. You are primary point of contact if anyone from the design team has questions or needs support regarding external services. You are in the position to support customer quotes with an early effort estimate related to external services and e xplore any potential new suppliers or services that will help the design team to drive efficiency. Provide regular reports to the leadership team, as well further proposals with the continuous improvement approach. Manage the local team for ECO, procurement and distribution management Support external Audits (e.G. IATF, TISAX, ect…), process improvements, trade compliance, Fleet Management. The experience we’re looking to add to our team: Previous relevant experience in Automotive Engineering Excellent English and German Communication and people engagement skills You are self-driven and with a mindset for process ownership and growth Experience with Product Lifecycle Management Tool Windchill Excellent understanding and knowledge in Automotive Product Development Basics of quality management, finance, project, procurement, distribution management, lean methods & and tools, Legal requirements for product liability.
