Position
As a Procurement Director, your mission is to lead the companys procurement function across the team.blue Group, driving the strategic sourcing of goods and services to ensure operational excellence and cost efficiency. You're responsible for setting up a group-wide procurement strategy and framework, leading all procurement activities, developing strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with the company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
1. Set up of group-wide procurement strategy and framework:
1. Develop and implement the procurement strategy to meet company objectives in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and risk management;
2. Develop a best-practice organizational framework for an international and functionally led context, including procurement organization, processes, and policies;
3. Develop a procurement business plan for the group;
4. Establish and lead an international procurement team, motivating the team to pursue each transaction in the best interest of team.blue.
2. Supplier management:
5. Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and negotiate favorable terms, contracts, and pricing;
6. Monitor supplier performance to ensure the highest standards of quality, reliability, and efficiency;
7. Implement supplier risk management strategies to proactively mitigate potential disruptions.
3. Cost management:
8. Stay updated on market trends and ensure awareness of current and fair pricing;
9. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements through effective sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and procurement processes;
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement with business goals and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
4. Compliance and risk management:
11. Ensure procurement activities are fully compliant with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards;
12. Implement risk management programs to address supply chain disruptions, ensure ethical sourcing, and support ESG objectives.
5. Contract management :
13. Collaborate closely with the legal department to prepare and manage procurement contracts, ensuring compliance and securing optimal terms in contracts and templates;
14. Intervene in and resolve contract disputes;
15. Follow up on contract renewals in a timely and cost-effective manner.
6. Budgeting and reporting:
16. Support in the overall yearly budget cycle, providing input regarding all relevant suppliers price strategies going forward;
17. Liaise with budget owners to establish a procurement plan for the upcoming fiscal year;
18. Develop KPIs to track procurement performance;
19. Provide forecasting on CoS, Opex and Capex.
7. Tooling:
20. Identify and implement procurement tools and technologies that enhance efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.
Profile
team.blues Procurement Director combines outstanding strategic, financial, and operational skills with strong leadership capabilities and market insight:
21. Education : Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Additional Supply Chain certifications are a plus;
22. Experience : Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in Procurement, including at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role with strategic responsibilities, such as developing procurement strategies, frameworks, and managing key supplier relationships;
23. Financial acumen : Strong experience in budgeting and controlling procurement costs and proven ability to identify opportunities for optimizing TCO and driving cost saving through informed and data-based decision-making, supplier negotiations, and short and long-term forecasting. Eager and committed to understanding team.blue's business drivers to align procurement strategies effectively;
24. Analytical skills : Experience in setting up and optimizing group-wide spend analysis processes and in setting up and monitoring adequate supplier KPIs;
25. Leadership skills : Experience in setting up and leading an international procurement organization and building a high-performance team;
26. Strong internal and external communication skills : Building strong relationships with key stakeholders within team.blue with strong negotiation skills facilitating the negotiation of optimal deals with key suppliers;
27. Best practice mindset : A focus on process improvement and cost efficiency, with experience implementing best practices, leveraging industry trends, and mitigating supply chain risks;
28. Ethics and integrity : A high level of integrity and ethical commitment to maintain transparency, fair practices, and accountability in all procurement activities;
29. Tooling : Experience in selecting and implementing procurement software to support efficient group-wide procurement processes, KPI follow-up, spend analysis, etc.
