thyssenkrupp Uhde combines unique technological expertise and decades of global experience in the engineering, procurement, construction, and service of chemical plants. We develop innovative processes and products for a more sustainable future and thus contribute to the long-term success of our customers in almost all areas of the chemical industry. Our portfolio includes leading technologies for the production of base chemicals, fertilizers, and polymers, as well as complete value chains for green hydrogen and sustainable chemicals.
You will take over the lead of project execution in our core plant technology EPC-business with project volumes up to billions of EUR. The close cooperation and coordination with business units and functions like project management, all engineering facilities, technical procurement, and building sites worldwide is part of your daily business. Your responsibilities extend to the following:
* Ensure successful (commercial) project execution of large EPC projects in the plant industry according to thyssenkrupp standards and governance from the call for proposal to end of warranty by meeting project targets regarding budget and time.
* Responsible for commercial activities (e.g., contract, claim, and risk management, payment securities, VAT/TAX issues, insurance, etc.) in the proposal phase and contract execution.
* Manage Sub Contractors at construction sites together with the Commercial Site Manager.
* Develop & Implement harmonized processes worldwide to ensure ongoing best-in-class execution of projects worldwide.
Professional Experience
* At least 10 years of professional experience in negotiating and executing international EPC contracts in the power, cement, and/or chemical industry with volumes up to hundreds of millions as a Commercial Project Director.
* University degree in business administration or industrial engineering (or similar).
* Proven record of leading an international team with intercultural awareness and the ability to leverage cultural differences.
* Experience in establishing complex contract scenarios and profound knowledge in contract law.
* Drive and ability to work under high pressure while still meeting the highest level of results.
* Fluent in German and excellent English language skills (additional language is an advantage).
