Post-Doc Researcher (m/f/x) in Economic Psychology or Experimental Economics
We are currently looking to fill one post-doctoral researcher position (100%, TVL E-13 equivalent, 3 years) as soon as possible. The position is part of a research project on social and distributional preferences and attitudes funded by the German Science Foundation, part of an international cooperation. The successful candidate will work in close cooperation with Prof. Dr. Anja Achtziger (Zeppelin University), Prof. Dr. Carlos Alós-Ferrer (Lancaster University, UK) and Dr. Jaume García-Segarra (University Jaume I, Spain). The successful candidate will be part of the Chair of Social & Economic Psychology at the Zeppelin University and is expected to integrate in the working group led by Prof. Dr. Anja Achtziger.
The project is mainly experimental and investigates socially harmful decisions using economic modeling and motivational interventions (e.g., mindsets), while also considering cultural and socioeconomic differences.
Your tasks
* Planning, implementation and evaluation of experimental quantitative studies (laboratory and online surveys)
* Publishing research results in top-tier international journals in economics and psychology
* Participation in the regular meetings of the members of the research project
Your profile
* Excellent academic qualifications, preferably in (experimental) economics or psychology
* Interdisciplinary interests and willingness to work across economics and psychology
* Knowledge, and more importantly, a strong interest in the field of human social decisions
* Experience in the application of quantitative methods and proficiency in using statistical software and programming languages (e.g., R, Stata, Python)
* Problem-solving skills, along with a high degree of self-motivation and self-organization
* An international orientation and very good English language skills, knowledge of the German language is an advantage but not reqired
