Meent is assisting Hyundai Motorsport in the recruitment of its Head of Commercial & Partnership on a permanent contract.
Established on 19 December 2012, Hyundai Motorsport GmbH (HMSG) is responsible for Hyundai’s global motorsport activities, including WRC and Customer Racing.
Role
Hyundai Motorsport is seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial and Partnership Manager to cover our programs with a focus on our FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) program, including the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in motorsport sponsorship acquisition and partnership management, with specific experience or knowledge in working with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) and other key stakeholders in the endurance racing community.
* Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive revenue growth through sponsorships, partnerships, and other commercial opportunities;
* Lead the account management team, ensuring the effective delivery of marketing rights, activation plans, and servicing of sponsorship agreements;
* Identify upsell opportunities and provide insights for sponsorship agreement renewals;
* Oversee hospitality management, ensuring an exceptional experience for partners, guests, and stakeholders;
* Manage key relationships with commercial partners, sponsors, and governing bodies, including ACO;
* Negotiate and execute strategic partnerships to enhance the brand and commercial value of the organization;
* Collaborate with internal departments, including marketing, events, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of commercial initiatives;
* Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
Experience
* Proven experience in sponsorship and partnership, alternatively in sales, or business development within the motorsport industry, preferably with a focus on endurance racing or WEC;
* In-depth understanding of the FIA World Endurance Championship, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and ACO’s operational structure;
* Establish network within the endurance racing community, including sponsors, teams, and organizers;
* Familiar with activation strategies specific to endurance racing events;
* Previous experience working directly with ACO or within the WEC paddock;
* Knowledge of digital marketing and social media sponsorship activation.
