PEOPLEGRIP is seeking skilled Accounting professionals to join the Finance team of a prominent South Korean food manufacturing conglomerate. This company, established in Germany after its acquisition in 2018, focuses on frozen food production. It plays a key role in the groups European operations, particularly in manufacturing and distributing products under a well-known brand celebrated for its Korean-inspired culinary offerings. Key Responsibilities:
1. Month-End and Year-End Closing:
o Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly and annual financial closing processes.
o Prepare financial statements and reconcile general ledger accounts.
o Analyze variances and ensure proper documentation for audit purposes.
2. Business Travel and Expense Reconciliation:
o Process and reconcile employee travel expenses and operational costs.
o Verify and categorize receipts, ensuring compliance with company policies.
o Address discrepancies and liaise with team members for accurate reporting.
3. Invoice Management:
o Record and manage accounts payable and receivable invoices.
o Verify accuracy of sales and purchase invoices and input them into the financial system.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date invoice records for audit and tracking purposes.
4. Bookkeeping and Financial Record Maintenance:
o Maintain meticulous records of financial transactions.
o Support journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments.
o Ensure all data complies with regulatory standards and internal policies.
5. Tax Reporting and Compliance:
o Prepare and submit VAT, income tax, and other relevant tax filings.
o Monitor tax payment schedules and ensure timely compliance with local regulations.
o Collaborate with external tax consultants and authorities as needed.
Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in financial operations or accounting.
* Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
* Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
* Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Skills:
* Knowledge of HGB and IFRS standards.
* Experience with expense management systems.
* Familiarity with local tax and financial regulations.
