Position Description
The Finance Manager is part of our global Corporate Accounting Team and reports directly to the Vice President of Corporate Accounting. This role oversees all accounting activities in Türkiye (with 2 direct reports), Dubai and Saudi Arabia. The position is located in our Headquarters in Hilden, Germany, which is close to Duesseldorf.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes for group reporting (U.S. GAAP).
2. Prepare annual statutory accounts and corporation tax returns for local regulatory authorities.
3. Lead and manage the accounting department in Ankara (2 team members).
4. Conduct financial review and control activities (fluctuation analysis, analytical reviews, SOX controls, actual costs vs. budget, etc.).
5. Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
6. Ensure timely and accurate completion of VAT returns and other local declarations.
7. Collaborate closely with external consultants and auditors.
Position Requirements
8. Fully qualified accountant with 5 to 10 years of relevant financial management experience (university degree not required).
9. Proficient in SAP financial modules and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
10. Strong understanding of relevant VAT legislation.
11. Knowledge of local GAAP, US GAAP, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
12. Leadership experience with a solid grasp of management principles and practices.
13. Fluent in Turkish and English, both verbally and in writing, across all hierarchical levels and with external authorities.
This role includes occasional travel to Türkiye. German language skills are beneficial, but not required.
