Frankfurt International School is looking for energetic part-time instructors for its REAL Activities Program. The REAL program provides FIS students (from age 3 - Grade 12) and adult community members an opportunity to explore and pursue different pathways toward their interests, as well as extend their knowledge beyond the regular school day. The REAL program offers classes under the following academies: Art, Language, Performing Arts, Sport and Wellness, STEM. Classes are offered on a term basis with approximately eight - ten class sessions per term. There are three terms throughout the school year. Classes are typically 60 minutes in length and held once a week in small group settings (8-15 students) during school days. All applicants must: Hold a valid work permit for Germany and currently live or plan to relocate to the greater Frankfurt (Rhein-Main) area Possess solid working knowledge of the English language as it is the primary language of instruction Have previous experience coaching Have a passion for sport Possess a strong work ethic The key responsibilities of the position are: Ensure the safety and well-being of the students To develop a sound instructional program for the class To take direct responsibility for the management of the class, including the preparing and/or ordering of supplies/equipment with the approval of the Activities Director To leave the instructional space in such condition that it is ready for the next scheduled activity Utilize developmentally appropriate practice and best practice methods at all times Be customer/service-oriented and professional Please contact the FIS Activities Director Martha Boston-Majetic for more information at martha_boston-majeticfis.edu
