Your mission: Enable Upvest to enhance IT governance through robust audit practices Provide audit-driven insights on IT risks, controls, and compliance to internal teams. Support colleagues in identifying and addressing IT-related risks while ensuring fast growth and regulatory excellence. Provide management with valuable audit insights for informed decision-making Conduct audits to assess IT controls, security measures, and compliance This role will give you the opportunity to: Develop and maintain an internal audit framework tailored to the fintech environment. Lead and manage IT audit engagements, overseeing audit procedures to ensure alignment with fintech-specific requirements. Report findings and propose improvements to senior management to enhance overall processes and compliance. Prepare and present quarterly and annual reports on audit results and findings to management. Oversee and manage outsourced audit support, ensuring audits remain aligned with company goals and standards. Introduce innovative solutions that enhance audit efficiency and improve audit frameworks in a rapidly changing fintech industry. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including external auditors and regulatory bodies, to ensure full compliance and risk mitigation. Provide independent audit support for strategic initiatives, like New Product introductions (NPPs), while maintaining objectivity. What you bring If you're someone who likes to build things from the ground up, enjoys being hands-on and wants to get more insight into the fintech space, this opportunity could be the one you've been looking for. Multiple years of experience in internal audit functions or in an audit firm. A background in IT or a related academic field is preferred, but we are open to candidates with strong practical experience and a deep understanding of IT systems. Familiarity with key regulations such as MaRisk, DORA, ISO 27001, KRITIS Passion about the future of fintech and desire to drive it from a front-row seat English and German fluency (both written and spoken) Ability to thrive in a fast-paced remote environment Ability to work from Germany (being based in Berlin is not required, though a plus) It’s great if you can engage with engineering teams on an equal footing, understanding technical complexities while bridging the gap between audit requirements and real-world implementation. have a (deep) understanding of software development.
