Your mission REQUEST FOR TENDER – CONTRACTED SERVICE: New website development for the International Civil Society Centre. The International Civil Society Centre (the Centre) is seeking a web development firm or agency to undertake the technical design, migration, launch, and optional hosting/ future maintenance of a new Centre website. The developer/agency will be engaged to create a new and updated website for the Centre that will replace the Centre’s existing website. The new site will house all of its work in one place and create an adaptable, highly secure and accessible, fit-for-purpose, visually appealing, easy to navigate website with a user-friendly CMS back end. The chosen CMS will provide the Center team with the autonomy and functionality to easily edit, update, and create new content and pages in the back end. The Centre aims to launch the new website in July-August 2025. The developer/agency will provide services for designing web structures and databases on a chosen CMS. This includes, but is not limited to: Work from basic pre-designed low-fi wireframe (information architecture) developed in-house by the Centre, to be translated into a chosen CMS backend. Migrate chosen content and subsidiary sites into one coherent website Integrate the Centre’s Microsoft 365 CRM and careers portal Develop back and front-end functionality that is highly accessible across all devices and meets the requirements WCAG 2.2 AA and the new BITV regulations (detailed in the request for tender document) Incorporate and advise on appropriate plug-ins/widgets, subscription forms, blog, resource feeds, and search filters Provide a library bank of editable template pages with a selection of pre-built assets/blocks that allows the team to easily create new content and pages in the future Provide usability, performance testing, SEO optimisation, SSL certificate Transfer the existing Centre domain name to the new website Deliver a smooth and seamless transition to the new website with an associated launch and follow up maintenance/support Provide CMS training and user manuals to the proposed Centre administrator team on using the new sites backend Liaise and work closely with the Centre’s team (in English) Optional service: Provide future and on-going hosting, security and support of the website (separate contract to be negotiated). Your profile Proven experience of innovative, web design with a strong track-record of implementing fit-for-purpose security and accessibility standards Ability to translate basic wireframe designs and site mock-ups into a CMS backend Strong experience in developing a user-friendly CMS that allows for multiple authors with admin privileges, to have complete control of editing, updating and creating new pages and content Strong experience providing technical solutions and ability to solve any technical issues during development Expertise and up-to-date industry knowledge of the best fit-for-purpose plug-ins/widgets, security options, optimisation, analytics, accessibility and green-web design Value for money Ability to meet the suggested timelines detailed in the ‘request for tender’ document Ability to provide CMS training and ongoing support Ability to communicate, work, and provide any documentation in English.
