YOUR ROLE AS
At P&G, our Mechanical Leaders are responsible for inventing, developing, reapplying and delivering breakthrough technologies that provide winning products for consumers in Europe and around the world.
Use your drive and ingenuity! From Day 1, you are the leader of your technology and will put your ideas into practice. You have the technical curiosity and knowledge to develop innovative approaches to big challenges. You will lead and execute end to end technology development within a global team of professionals. You challenge & improve the performance and design of existing production platforms. You drive the digitization to the next level and develop solutions for existing production machines / automation processes. You are responsible for developing and qualifying production equipment and own the tracking and reporting against project technical success criteria. You engage with machine suppliers and internal stakeholders from all functions (e.g., Product R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Network) to design and deliver an innovation pipeline including production technologies to delight our consumers with superior products at the right quality and cost. Your work will require creativity, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
We are looking for Mechanical Leaders in our EUROPEAN Process & Engineering hub for Pampers® in Euskirchen (near Cologne/Bonn).
1. Lead and execute the mechanical development of new equipment in a multidisciplinary project team.
2. Independent definition of mechanical equipment within portfolio capability based on product design.
3. Mechanical development with usage of CAD and ERP systems
4. Cross-functional collaboration with R&D, GMDSO, operations, but also with suppliers and external partners in mechanical engineering and equipment manufactures.
5. Support in innovation projects and test run activities (installation, commissioning).
6. Prepare construction risk assessment.
7. Provide RFQ documents for the contractor service enquiries.
8. Training and Onboarding of European and global resources on mechanical equipment design
9. Support senior management in decision making by providing data, insights and recommendations on equipment options and equipment capability.
Job Qualifications
YOUR PROFILE
10. Mechanical engineering technician (Staatlich geprüfter Techniker Maschinenbau) with 5+ year experience in complex technical jobs or Mechanical Engineering degree
11. Broad knowledge on mechanical design, manufacturing process, documentation, and construction requirements
12. Analytical skills and initiative to identify and solve problems
13. Experience in executing projects self-organized
14. Experience in leading contractor resources incl. supervisors and engineering teams
15. Experience in training others
16. High degree of independence, sense of responsibility and assertiveness
17. Independent prioritization of parallel tasks
18. Experience in adapting communication for different function and across senior levels
19. Fluid communication in English
